Do You Love It Or Hate It...

Trying to get back into the swing of things here and as it is a new year, I want to tweak my blog just a bit.

Before I get into it,  make sure to drop by Alex's blog where he is giving me a Shout Out about my book and blog tour.

You all know I am changing up my Friday format. The only other thing I am possibly considering tossing out the window is the scroll at the top of the blog page that shows (almost) all the books I have read, reviewed or have on my TBR list.

Do you love it or hate it? Don't care either way? I'll let you all decide. The overall look of my blog is fine. I won't change that. Everyone has gotten used to it by now, I think.

Are there other aspects you are or are not fond of? I'd like to know. Call it a growing up phase or what have you, but I'm trying to look slightly more professional. I'll never get rid of the pirates, though.

EVER.

So don't even go there.

I still love you, even if you don't like pirates. They aren't for everyone. Just like fantasy isn't for everyone. But you'll still tell people about my book, right?

That's right. Because you love me.

Yeah, I went too far.

Okay just leave your comments on the overall look of the blog and that scroll up there at the top. I look forward to hearing what you think. And then don't forget to visit Alex, he's giving me a shout out on my book today.

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Personally, because I suffer from vertigo, I skip past anything that moves on a web page, scrolling down so I can't see it. Apart from that, I think your blog looks great - totally gives the right image!

Don't lose your header. I always thought it was cool.

I like the pirate ships, Mel. I wouldn't remove them if they were mine. :) That said, it's your blog if you need a change, by all means change it up! Best of luck with it, and your book!

I won't take away the ships. The only way that header will go away is if I get some awesome fantasy artwork done for my books. :D
Thanks for your input, everyone!

Everything looks great as is - the only suggestion I'd make (If possible) is to make the book widget a little wider and central beneath the header. There's a lot of empty space next to it at the moment.

Pirates rock (and if you're a fan of the band Alestorm, pirate rock!)

I've tried to fix that book widget. I might have to try again, but I just couldn't get the silly thing to expand or be centered. If I can't fix it, I think I will get rid of it altogether. Thanks Jamie!

I can't see most things on my work computer, but I think the only thing that slows me down is the scrolling book list. Otherwise, I concur with everyone, don't lose that header!
